Love letters are my favorite for this week.  I not only like getting love letters but I like writing them.  A hand written letter is really a lost art!  When is the last time you received something in the mail, with a stamp on it, written by someone?  I still try to handwrite my notes. When my daughter was born I asked friends and family to write her a handwritten note.  I think a hand written note  is really one of those things to treasure. I keep all my cards and notes in a box in the closet.

I especially like hand written notes from my husband. He is a man of little words. So, when my birthday or our  anniversary comes he takes the time to hand write a card to me.  This is his love letter to me. The really make me cry because they are so sweet and sentimental.

We recently had a bride who hand wrote a note to her husband during their wedding ceremony. She took a lot of time and put her heart into the words she wrote.  Writing things down on paper to express your love during your wedding ceremony is a great gift to give to the one you love.  This letter can also be something you can give to your husband/ wife on your anniversary.  Or better yet, you can write a note to your husband/ wife to be on the day of your wedding and save that note to give to them on their 1 year anniversary.  In the letter you can put how excited or nervous you are, what your hopes and dreams are for the future, and what they mean to you.

A love letter doesn’t have to be to your husband or wife.  The letter can be to your children, mother, father, brother or sister.  Next time you are at the store, stop by the card aisle and pick up a blank card and write someone a love letter. I’m sure they will appreciate it!
