Music

This Friday one of my top favs for the week has been listening to some great instrumental music on Pandora that has a Latin flare to it.  One of the artist’s name is Blank and Jones.  This music takes me away to the beaches of Spain with a Sangria in my hand!  I also have been listening to Pandora on my phone which I notice doesn’t break for a lot of commercials.

This type of music would be something that you couples might consider for the cocktail hour or during the dinner portion of your wedding reception.

Quote for the Week

“Every woman’s heart has different instructions… They’re written through her eyes, in her smile, through her actions and in her tears.. She just has to find someone who cares enough to read them.”

Shoes

What women doesn’t love shoes?  I love these shoes!!

The bows add a little bit of girly-ness.  These would be perfect with a short or long wedding dress.

Wedding Beverages

When budgeting for a wedding the cost of alcohol can add up quickly!  Some venues charge to set up the bar and then a per drink fee.  If you are paying for your guests to drink and drinks are $7/ cocktail and every guest has a drink you are looking at $350.  I’m sure every guest isn’t going to drink one drink so let’s double that to $700 for just the drinks.

For some ideas to save on the cost of alcohol, why not consider having guests pay for their drinks, but you provide a signature drink or have a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine at the dinner table for your guests to enjoy, complements of the happy couple.

If you have an open bar, guests can many times get a little out of hand since they are drinking on someone else’s tab.  So, you may want to think about your guests and what kind of party you want.
